Hotel Tracker checks the current rate for your tracked stay automatically, up to twice a day. On the Free plan the price is checked once per day; on the Gold and Platinum plans it is checked twice per day. When the rate falls below your target, you get an email alert from info@hotel-tracker.com.
Check frequency by plan
Every plan includes automatic price checks and email alerts. The Free plan covers one tracked hotel with one check per day. The paid plans raise that to two checks per day and let you track more hotels at once. The current limits for each plan are listed on the pricing page.
Why not check every minute?
Hotel rates move day to day, not minute to minute. Hotels use dynamic pricing: they adjust rates based on how full they expect to be on your dates, and those adjustments happen over days and weeks. Checks up to twice a day catch every meaningful drop without flooding your inbox with noise. The rates themselves come from Google Hotels metasearch data — more on that in Where do hotel prices come from?
What you receive between checks
Nothing, unless something changes. If a check finds the rate still above your target, no email goes out. If the rate falls below your target, you get one alert from info@hotel-tracker.com with the new rate and a booking link — what to do with it is covered in What happens after a price-drop alert?
That is the core of Hotel Tracker: hotel price alert and rebooking guidance. You set the target once, the checks run on their own, and you only hear from us when a price is worth looking at. For the full process from setup to alert, see how it works.
