What happens after a price-drop alert?

When the rate for your tracked stay falls below your target, Hotel Tracker sends you an email from info@hotel-tracker.com with the new rate and a booking link. Nothing happens automatically: you review the offer, check your cancellation terms, and decide yourself whether to cancel and rebook — or keep your original booking.

What the alert email contains

The email shows the current rate for your stay and a link to book it. That link runs through our booking partner — see What is the Stay22 booking link? for how it works and what it means for you.

Check before you cancel

A lower headline rate does not automatically mean a real saving. Before touching your existing booking, confirm:

  • Your original booking is still free to cancel, and the deadline has not passed.
  • The new rate covers the same room, dates, and conditions.
  • You are comparing total prices, including taxes and fees, in the same currency.

Our guide Cancel and rebook: when a lower price really saves money walks through this checklist in detail.

You stay in control

Hotel Tracker never cancels or rebooks on your behalf. It is hotel price alert and rebooking guidance: we watch the price, alert you, and help you judge the decision — cancelling and booking again is always done by you, with the provider you choose. The full setup is described in the guide to price alerts after booking.

Tracking continues after the alert

An alert does not end the tracker. The price keeps being checked, so if the rate falls further before check-in, you hear about that too. You can edit, pause, or delete any tracker whenever you like.
