The booking link in your alert email and on this site runs through Stay22, an affiliate service. It opens a live search for your hotel and dates across booking sites. If you book through it, Hotel Tracker may earn a commission from the booking site — at no extra cost to you.
What Stay22 does
Stay22 is the partner behind our booking links. When you click a link in a price-drop alert, it takes you to current rates for your stay from the booking sites that list it. The actual reservation is always completed with the respective provider — Stay22 and Hotel Tracker are not the seller, and your payment details never pass through us.
How the affiliate part works
When a booking is made through one of these links, the booking site can pay Hotel Tracker a commission. You pay the same price either way — the commission comes out of the booking site’s margin, not your wallet. This is one of the ways the service is funded, and it is why the Free plan can stay genuinely free. We would rather explain that openly than hide it in fine print.
You can book directly instead
The link is a convenience, not an obligation. The alert tells you the current rate for your stay; you are free to go straight to the booking site or to the hotel’s own website and book there. Your trackers and alerts work exactly the same whether or not you ever use the Stay22 link. Hotel Tracker — hotel price alert and rebooking guidance — earns its keep by finding the drop, not by forcing a route to book it.
